Helena is a licensed Cosmetologist, Certified Trichologist, and Board certified Drugless Practitioner with over 2 decades of experience in the hair loss industry. She is a certified a wig/hair replacement specialist through Rene of Paris, Jon Renau Wigs, and Hair Visions. She is also certified in Babe, Hair Dreams, Dream Catchers Extensions, and Easi Hair Pro extensions. Finally, she has certifications for men’s hair replacement, women’s hair augmentation, and medical hair loss.

Helena is a member of the American Hair Loss Council, American Association of Drugless Practitioners and is published or quoted on an ongoing basis with national media outlets and  industry specific trade publications such as the National Hair Journal, Modern Salon Magazine, Glamour Magazine, and  The Link Magazine for articles written on the hair industry. In addition, Helena has been  seen on “Central Valley Today” ABC News and KFSN 30 and numerous podcasts. She was an educational trainer for Hair Visions and previously of European Hair Imports. Helena works very hard to bring you the very best this industry has to offer and to make sure all of her hair loss practitioners are highly trained and proficient in our products and services.

What Is a Trichologist?

When it comes to hair loss and scalp health, there’s so much more to consider than what you see on the surface. That’s where trichology comes in.

A trichologist is a professional who specializes in the study of the hair and scalp, helping clients better understand concerns such as thinning hair, excessive shedding, scalp conditions, and changes in hair density. Trichologists evaluate the hair and scalp, consider contributing factors, and help guide clients toward appropriate solutions or referrals when a concern requires medical attention.

Meet Helena Gibson, Certified Trichologist & Owner of Strut Hair Solutions

At the heart of Strut Hair Solutions is Helena Gibson, our owner and founder, a licensed cosmetologist, Certified Trichologist, Board Certified Drugless Practitioner, wellness expert, product formulator, educator, and hair loss specialist with more than two decades of experience in the hair loss industry.

Helena’s passion for hair loss solutions began with her own mother, who experienced thinning hair and the emotional impact that came with it. That personal experience inspired Helena to create a space where women could find not only beautiful hair solutions, but also compassion, education, and confidence.

Secrets to Beautiful Hair

In 2011, Helena released her first book, Secrets to Beautiful Hair; Tips and Tricks to Wigs and Extensions, which is available in-store or on Amazon for download. Her second book, she was a co-author, in the best seller  “Lead Like a Woman Series – Tales from the Trenches” available on Amazon.

Today, Helena divides her time between managing Strut Hair Solutions, and working on her other business she created “Unveil Restorative Hair Care“.  Her career as a celebrity stylist, educator, author, and now formulator continues to inspire her to explore exciting new projects that continue to challenge and fulfill her.
