As we reflect on 2025, we’re filled with gratitude for a year marked by growth, recognition, and connection. From industry awards and exciting service launches to celebrating our team and community, this year reinforced why Strut exists. To support hair health, restore confidence, and help every client strut through life feeling empowered.

A Year of Leadership & Industry Recognition

In 2025, Strut proudly celebrated major milestones in leadership and professional recognition within the hair restoration and wellness industry.

Our CEO, Helena Gibson, Board Certified Drugless Practitioner and Trichologist, was honored as a San Diego Icon by Modern Luxury Magazine. A recognition that highlights her commitment to education, ethical hair loss solutions, and client-centered care.

Helena was also named a finalist for San Diego Business Journal’s Business Women of the Year, received the CEO Leader of Influence Award from the County of San Diego, and won the Trade + Craft “Pioneer” Award at San Diego Magazine’s Celebrating Women Summit. These honors reflect not only leadership but also innovation in scalp health, trichology, and confidence restoration.

To top it off, Strut was named Best Wig Shop in Modern Luxury San Diego’s Best of the City, an award that belongs to our entire community.

Our New Location in Cardiff-by-the-Sea

One of the biggest milestones of 2025 was the grand opening of our new Strut location in Cardiff-by-the-Sea. This move marked a new chapter for our business and allowed us to create a space intentionally designed for comfort, privacy, and transformation.

Our Cardiff location reflects our belief that hair restoration, wig services, and scalp treatments should feel luxurious, safe, and empowering — from the moment you walk in the door.

Expanding Our Hair & Scalp Health Services

This year, we expanded our services by adding the Scalp Detox & Cleanse with a Boost to our list of services! A revitalizing scalp treatment designed to deeply cleanse, nourish, and restore the scalp.

Healthy hair starts at the scalp, and this service supports fuller, healthier hair by removing buildup, stimulating circulation, and creating the optimal environment for growth. This treatment quickly became a favorite for clients focused on long-term hair health and prevention.

Celebrating the Heart of Strut: Our Team

Behind every transformation is a dedicated team. In 2025, we proudly celebrated Marisol’s 4th anniversary with Strut. Her creativity, craftsmanship, and care for our clients embody everything Strut stands for, and we are beyond grateful to have her on our team.

We also embraced moments of joy and connection throughout the year — from a playful Halloween celebration in the salon to our end-of-year holiday party filled with great food, laughter, and karaoke. These moments remind us that community is at the core of everything we do.
